Ryan Sarakul, an Asian-American of Thai descent, hails from the vibrant Bay Area where he was born and raised.

Since as far back as he can recall, he’s been captivated by cameras. He made his first camera purchase back in 2004, but it wasn’t until 2010 that he truly delved into portrait photography, a passion he shares with his mom, who also had a keen interest in cameras.

Over the past 7 years, Ryan has immersed himself in the professional realms of portrait photography and performance arts videography. With a rich background in visual arts and production, he infuses his work with a profound level of craftsmanship and artistry.

Currently, Ryan collaborates with Creative Transit Agency and AddVirtual, assuming roles such as Camera Operator, Assistant Director of Picture, and Production Assistant in Oakland, CA. His multifaceted expertise allows him to bring a dynamic perspective to every project he undertakes.

Drawing from his experience as a former professional street dancer and holder of a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, Ryan possesses a unique advantage in working with movement, athletes, and performers. He intuitively grasps the nuances of their art forms and effectively communicates with them to capture their finest moments on camera.
